Bad CV Joint?

Right front CV Joint was replaced (with used) after boot discovered
ripped at 165,000 miles. Car was also aligned about this time.

Tires are all the same pressure.

Car has started pulling to left while cruising, perhaps a little
harder under acceleration.

Could this be caused by a failiing CV joint on the right side.

No steering or suspension parts have been replaced, but were observed
to be not in need of replacement at the most recent inspection in the
last 6 months.

TIA

Whatever is causing the pull to the left has to be coming from the lef
side of the car. Try rotating the tires to see if anything changes.

Aside from tires, might be a worn ball joint or tie rod end. If you get a
vibration in the steering wheel then this is commonly a worn inner CV joint.

When did the car start pulling? Right after the CVJ replacement?

How strong a pull?

A defective alignment (camber off), can cause this problem.
A defective tire could cause pull. If your tires allow it, switch both
front tires.
Are the tires wearing out evenly?
Finding a good alignment shop is difficult, sooo...

Good luck!

No, it just started recently. Probably 1000-2000 thousand miles since
the replacement. More a drift than a pull. Will see how much of an
issue it is on an upcoming 100 mile highway trip.

Haven't hit anything and the tires were rotated a few thousand miles
ago - didn't start then either. Tires have been religiously rotated
every 5-6K miles front<<>>rear on the same side.

Neither before nor after (right after) the alignment, was the car
pulling/drifting. It's just started uo.
