Hey everyone I am new here.
I could not find any info online of what this rtv gasket is BELOW the valve cover gasket. I am tracking down some oil leaks and think this may be one of my culprits. Is this something that can be done without pulling the head? What is the separation called? Not the valve cover gasket, not the head gasket?
Thank you in advance!

It sounds like you aren't very mechanically inclined so you are likley better off having service done by a pro or a dealership. RTV is a silicone gasket material that comes in a tube that cures after it's applied by the user.

I understand it is RTV what I mean to ask is what the separation between the valve cover and the head gasket is, rocker cover? There is no info online that I've found about taking that specific part off the head. I think I am leaking oil from the RTV so I need to reseal. Wondering if I need to pull the heads to get that off or not.

this looks very much where the oil came from as to the drippings on my garage door floor last Friday on my 2024 Subaru forester 15,000 km on it, the Subaru service manage passenger side lower engine opened the hood and seen oil on the lower right bottom side of engine, its at Subaru service now waiting for parts service manager says this happens more with the Subaru outback's not so much the forester not enough silicon so the service manager says put on at factory there's also a couple of rubber seals that go bad inside this pan the mechanic showed me.

The cam carrier seals leaking is unfortunately quite common with the FB25. The seal is not a gasket, but RTV sealant which deteriorates in about 8 years. To reseal them, the engine must be removed. It appears though the OPs photo could be of RTV sealant, but not one of the cam carriers.
