Another New/Old Guy (aka GOG - Grumpy Old Guy)

Well, I try not to be TOO grumpy - just bought a new (to us) 2019 OutBack Premium 2.5i - our 8th Suby. Started almost 40 years ago when my wife refused to drive a manual transmission car in Seattle unless it had a Hill Holder clutch .

Sedan, GL10, Outback (several), Baja, Forester (several), Impreza and now back to an Outback.

From my Login, you can guess I'm a Ham (Amateur Extra, been licensed since 1992). Living Prosser, WA, about 180 mi E of Seattle, 175 from Portland, 178 from Spokane and 180 from Boise - we did NOT plan it that way.

Update - traded the Outback in March of 2023 for a Chevy Bolt, really wanted an EV. It was a great vehicle; but had one flaw; Chevy could not properly compensate for the high torque at low speeds. The car was basically useless in the winter. I got stuck in our street exit twice last year, on a 5% grade.

So - we traded the Bolt last week for a 2026 Solterra. So far, we love it! It was wet and icy yesterday AM, no issues getting out of our street.
