I know this is not a motorcycle forum, but I am seeking subaru specific interchange info. The back story is this. I've been gathering parts to build a trike for the past while. It was going to be sbc, non electric tranny to a narrowed automotive rear end. I pretty much have enough bits to start building but no engine or tranny yet. I now find myself in possession of a FREE, perfectly running 2001 subaru legacy awd 2.5L that was rolled and will never see the road again. My question is, what rwd tranny can I mate to this engine to use the engine in a trike? My understanding is I can't use stock tranny and simply remove front axle shafts. Only thing I've found is going with a vanagon transaxle but I already have the narrowed rear end. Any help would be appreciated
