Acceleration in cold weather

I bought my outback 3.6r in 2017. Since I bought it I’ve had an issue where the car will accelerate before I even touch the gas in cold weather. The car will accelerate from 0 to 30km/h by itself over the course of a minute or so. Once the engine warms up this behaviour will stop. Seems like a safety issue to me - but the dealers aren’t taking it very seriously. Anyone else experience this?
