26 crosstrek towing/campers wilderness edition ...

Just got new 26 crosstrek wilderness edition ... w/ 3500lb capability what is realistic in terms of towing a small rv/teardrop and with that that in mind, what do you you guys use/recommend

That 3500 rating is real but you will be happiest keeping the loaded trailer around 2000 to 2500 with trailer brakes on it. Most teardrops like a nuCamp TAG or a MeerKat come in well under that, which leaves you breathing room for gear and water. Just watch tongue weight and payload since passengers and camping stuff count against the same numbers. You planning flat land or mountain trips with it?

both i live in NM ... i will primarily be travelling alone maybe 1 other person (unlikely), thank you for the info ... kinda consistent with what i was figuring
