I guess I may not be used to driving Subaru's, but when my Ascent starts through the gears and shifts, the transmission seams to hesitate and not shift and the RPM's go up dramatically. Eventually it moves on to the next gear, but it is not a precise/decisive shift. Feels like it is 'sliding' into the next gear and still holding on to the lower gear. Really does it a lot when going up a hill.
Twice to the dealer and they say all is normal. If you drive the car harder, faster it performs better. But, if you're not a fast driver it
it is bad.
Are they all this way?
