Anyone had this problem where NEW 2026 Outback gets down to 30 miles to empty and no low fuel light comes on ? It happen to be on Sunday August 23 2026. Just by chance i looked down and saw i only had 30 miles to empty. I filled up car and then the car said with a FULL tank of gas only 250 miles to empty. Next day I called North Fort Lauderdale Subaru and got an appointment to bring car in at 11:00 A.M. only to have them say after an hour of looking at to bring it back next time it happens. That's after i should them video of the whole thing. But the story gets worse. I contacted Kelly at Subaru of America Customer Advocacy Department Manager-Owner Solutions Team 1-800-782-2783.

Dear Kerry,
Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today I apologize for any miscommunication within our call center.
I understand you have concerns regarding the fuel usage readings in your vehicle, and we appreciate the opportunity to discuss the matter with you. I recognize that this situation has been frustrating, and I want to assure you that we would like to help in any way we can.
I understand the retailer advised you to return once your fuel tank is low. At that point, the best next step is for the vehicle to be returned to the service department so that the concern can be properly evaluated. A diagnostic inspection will allow the technicians to review the fuel usage readings, determine what may be causing the condition you are experiencing, and identify any recommendations for resolution.
Our goal is to ensure your concern receives the appropriate attention and that the vehicle is evaluated by those best equipped to diagnose the issue. Once a service appointment has been scheduled, we will remain involved on your behalf with the retailer.
Thank you for your time and for bringing this concern to our attention. We look forward to working with you toward a resolution.
Kind regards,
Kelly
