I just bought this 2025 Forester Wilderness. I want to get a kayak and be able to put it on the roof rack, or carry other stuff up there, like lumber or screen doors or baggage.
Question 1: are the Thule crossbars that Subaru sells for around $600 worth it? That's several times what other crossbars seem to cost.
Question 2: it seems like the other crossbars I can find specify that they are for Wilderness model years up through 2024, or else specify that they are NOT for Wilderness. I don't think I've found any that say they fit 2025 Wilderness. What is up with this?
If I have to I'll buy the expensive ones, but tuppence is tuppence. Just want to check this before making such an expensive purchase.
