purchased last Nov we noticed a noise when braking - went to dealer and they took it for a drive but it would not make the noise- after 3 months - then went in for oil change - still making noise - they changed oil and rotated tires and said that the front tires are wearing on the inside - I couldn't believe it - - this was after 3 months. Then when I got a survey I complained that the tires wore and the noise - the corporate office said they would replace the tires up to 1000. That done and still the noise - today after 15,000 miles went in for inspection and rotate tires (they want it done every 5000 miles). the front tires are wearing again just like the other ones that were replaced. the service person said its normal wear and tear. My husband went back with me to dealer, and they gave us a loaner and now will have an experienced tech look over the vehicle. Ok then I printed out the records for my car with vin number and there are two recalls that I never received any information on: electrical system: instrument cluster/panel, and power train drivesline driveshaft. I will call them Monday and advise - not sure if that is the problem or not. I don't understand why they can't figure it out and also why are the tires wearing? Any help would be appreciated.

Gonna take a bit to unpack this one. Let's start with tires. Tires wear every moment the car is moving. So you'll need to get alot more specific on that one.

As for notices not received...well that's not good. Should sort that out with Subaru.

Were the notices actually "recalls" or TSBs? Can you share copies or links?

none of those "recalls" you stated would impact tire wear.

As for noise. what noise? That's not much to go on.

Take it to another dealer for assessment if you can.

Tires wearing unevenly is a sure sign of a car needing a wheel alignment. Take it to a tire shop and have them check the alignment.
Good Luck, John Moonan
