For the last 21 years straight my daily car has been a Subaru WRX . I bought a 2002 and traded it in for a 2010 and just sold that and bought a 2022. So needless to say I'm very familiar with the WRX. All the vehicles were manual transmission but for the 2022 I decided to go for the short throw shifter.
I've been driving the new car for 6 months now and I can't feel any difference in the shift throws from what I've been driving for the last 20 years. Shouldn't I feel some difference, somewhere? The gearbox feels totally different ,feels clunky.
Is it possible the factory put the wrong shifter in my car? That's hard for me to believe since the car was assembled in Japan
Any idea how I can find out what the correct distances of the throws should be on each version?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you
