It's a shame Subaru has this option on their cars, an option that not only doesn't work, but is dangerous. After years of dealing with Subaru I know they do not listen to their customers . I had a Lemon, they refused to uphold their end of the law, still working on legal remedies. I can not let them get away with ripping me off over $16,000.-Greg, I noticed the same issue when washing the car by hand. The gate also tried to open when I walked behind the car in my garage, almost crashing into the closed garage door. Seemed kind of dangerous, so I disabled that feature (disable switch located below and left of the steering wheel).
