Have had my Forester since July ‘19. Now has a little over 60 Kim’s on it. After having had a string of Hondas have to say think this is best vehicle I have ever owned. A year ago when winter temps set in I started to have vibration noise coming from under dash which seemed to depend on my speed and or bumpy road surfaces. From driver position the noise seemed to come from around the glove compartment and from the front passenger seat it seemed to come from under the driver side dash. When spring returned the noise disappeared. So of course now that winter has once again returned so has the noise. As a result I am seeking advice from anyone else who has encountered this frustration who may have found a solution to the problem. I have read online that other ‘19 Forester owners have encountered the same issue and that at least one person has determined the source and a fix for the vibration noise. They have indicted that the source of the vibration was a high intensity discharge ECU located behind the main instrument cluster on the dashboard and above the brake pedal and to the left of the steering column again behind the dashboard assembly. The fix was to apply a piece of duct tape to the ECU body and the ECU mounting bracket, which apparently stopped/dampened vibration which caused the noise. Has anyone else had experience with this issue and if so what were you able to do to eliminate the noise? I thought I better see what others may have done before I tackled the possible fix described above.
Comments, thoughts and suggestions all appreciated.

My wife’s ‘20 Forester just started having the same issue. Were you able to fix yours?

The fix sounds easy. Do you want easier???
No, I want to know if the author’s analysis of the problem was right. I’ve seen other posts where the rattle wasn’t so easy to isolate. But I screenshotted the post and will start there.
