We bought a used 2017 Outback in 2020. The dealer highly suggested we purchase a warranty for the electronics on the vehicle, as there were many known issues. It was cheap, so we did.
Sure enough, we started having gremlins in the radio / Bluetooth / Navigation. The dealership recommended that the head unit be replaced.
Great! We can actually use an extended warranty for a change!
Wrong. That expired a couple months back
So help me wrap my head around why I'd pay 1500 plus to put the exact same part that is known to fail, did fail, and will fail again??
Do you guys have a favorite plug and play (I'm an idiot when it comes to electronics) head unit that retains ALL the factory options and is something I might be able to install.
I dont mind spending the money on quality, but honestly, it just needs to make the wife happy and do what the factory unit is supposed to.
Ty!
