Frustrated using my iPhone 14pro directions through the car's speakers. The first few seconds of spoken directions are chopped off. For example: I will hear "miles, turn left" when I'm expecting it to say " In 1 mile turn left". And oddly, right after the spoken words a message will display on the car's unit indicating a call from 'my phone number' has ended. My phone is plugged in via a cigarette lighter adaptor with a typical Apple charging cable. Wondering if I should use the port inside armrest? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I've got a 2020 Forester Touring and I am having iPhone issues as well. I've begun using the cars navigation rather than Google Maps and find it easier and without the issues. And, it's easier to see the car's navigation screen as well. I'm still at a loss as to what I can and can't do with the IPhone/Car connection. I was using the Google maps through my iPhone but ran into the same voice issues i.e. cut-off voice messages that I was used to hearing in their entirety on my iPhone or, in some cases, no voice at all from the car's speakers. It's been frustrating.
