We have a 2014 Forester Premium 2.5L. It has started vibrating when put in reverse or drive, with a very slight vibration when in park/neutral. I noticed there is a new clunk sound when starting the engine, it seems like it happens right when the engine fires under its own power.
The vibration basically goes away when driving forward, though I've only driven pretty gently since this started, I'll drive more aggressively and see if it makes a clunk sound when accelerating hard. The vibration continues when driving in reverse, though I haven't driven very fast in reverse.
I took a few short videos, the first one shows the new clunk sound at startup just before 4 seconds in the video VIDEO
This one shows the sound change when shifting between drive modes VIDEO
This one has a bit of driving in it, at about 50 seconds you can hear the vibration start when I come to a stop VIDEO
Any ideas what it might be? From what I've read it sounds like it might be the engine or transmission mounts?
