Dash error lights for Stability, Cruise and Ck Engine all lighting. P0024 read off stored codes.
Initial web search and shop manual describe Variable Valve Solenoid problem.
Followed suggestions to change oil, bench test and clean VVT solenoid. Cleared codes, everything fine for test drive. Couple of trips later codes reappeared. Replaced solenoid as bench tests were marginal.
Cleared codes again, road test okay. Then same result as before. Codes returned.
Next steps in shop manual describe cleaning exhaust valves and cam which seems labor intensive.
Anyone have similar problems and better results?
    Thanks

Screenshot_20210628-223121.png Perform a relative compression test first using an oscilloscope to prove compression.
Ensure the oil and oil filter are high quality. VVT solenoids can be bench tested and OEM or equal quality is the way to proceed. The image indicates a slight load on the engines and the changes (angles, % and .Mv) should follow each other depending on load.
