I have a 2013 forester turbo that has engine knocking sound under the hood. I took it to my mechanic who said you need a new engine or rebuild one. I have decided to rebuild it myself. I think this is very challenging for me. The only task I did in cars is replace radiator & cooling system, replace brake systems, alternator and belts! Picked up a Haynes manual and looking for good video on how to overhaul and rebuild a engine.
What should I do next, where should I start? Any advice? Anyone got good video on engine overhaul and rebuild?
