2012 forester Catalytic converter

My check engine light started turning on and off regularly. I was recently told by my local repair shop that my catalytic converters are going out. I ordered new cats and o2 sensors, but unfortunately the car stopped running on me before they got here. I got it towed and put in my garage and replaced the exhaust manifold and mid pipe converters and got everything tightened up and put back together and it won’t start up. I am wondering if something else broke down before I could get the new cats on it and what it would be. Thanks for the help!

Could be something didn't get reconnected so recheck all that kinda stuff. Did you disconnect the battery before comencing work? It could be something simple like that so look for that stuff first.
How may miles were on the car? The cats should go about 100k miles before needing replacement unless something caused them to fail early like a bad O2 sensor, something causing oil consumption, etc
