2011 Impreza stalling, idling low and slow start up

I have a 2011 base Impreza with a 2.5L 4-cylinder boxer engine. I did a muffler and resonator delete, and it was running smooth for about a week. Then, when the weather got warmer, it started stalling when I started it up and had slow turnovers.

Also, no, I didn't just cut them off. I had them replaced by pipes.

I also have a check engine light on for exhaust circulation issues. Called a couple of places, one being a tune place. They said a tune wouldn't fix that since it doesn't sound like a tuning issue. The mechanic said to take it to a shop that specializes in aftermarket exhausts.

I live in the Hamilton/Niagara Region. Do you have any recommendations of where to take it or what the issue might be?

Try putting a muffler and a resonator on it. Probably too much or too little backpressure. You called a tuning shop for your base model impreza ?

I was told tuning was a way to fix the low idling and stalling.

Tuneing in this case likly referees to ECU reprogramming requiring experts equipped with dynos and such with expert knowledge of engine management systems. Not minor mechanical work of old like a tune up requiring points and plugs and small common tune up parts of days gone by. Expect to pay some big bucks for engine management tuning. Actually reprogramming the ECU.
