2005 WRX Turbo - Good purchase?

L

Lee

We are looking at purchasing a 2005 Impreza WRX Turbo. It does have
122,000 miles on it (I know kind of high for a newer vehicle).

What would be a fair price in todays market, a dealer is asking
$10,000? And what are the common problems to look for with this type
of vehicle? We have never owned a non-American car, what are the
usual repair costs as compared to a Ford or Chevy?

Any thoughts, experiences and input are appreciated.

Thanks.

Would a dealer sell you an extended warranty despite the gap
and how much would it cost?

I am not sure if the dealer would have or not. The car sold very
quick, before we could even look at it. But since then we have
settled on a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. (Found a good deal,
lower price and lower miles)

Thanks anyway for the response.
