Hey. I have a 2001 standard subaru outback. About a week ago it started showing a steady check engine light while the car was running. How do I get the light to flash codes so I can diagnose the problem?
Also, it relatively new to me, and the last guy who owned it literally cut the muffler off just past the joint after it connects to the long converter pipe(just behind rear tire). Other than this the shifting head is loose(it's a manual). Would either of these cause a check engine light?
