2000 Outback Air Conditioning leak

This afternoon while driving on the freeway I have heard sudden hissing
sound for 20-30 seconds and after that A/C stopped blowing cold air. I
openned the hood and the bad hose is clearly visible it's the fat one
that goes from the condenser . I need a replacement one and new
coolant. Does anyone have an idea if these can be purchased in standard
auto part stores and how easy it is to refill? or should I go to shop
anyway?...

It's friday night and I would really need it to be working over the
weekend...

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

A mechanic will need to pull a vacuum on the system to help remove
moisture. Probably not a DIY unless you have access to the equipment.

A good independent should be able to do it though - probably doesn't
REQUIRE a dealership, except for the part I guess. check with jamie at
www.subarugenuineparts.com for the part. There are other discounted OEM
parts dealers online as well, but I've purchased twice and gotten good
email assistance from Jamie (subiegal of www.subiegalracing.com)
