First timer here :) I have a 98 Legacy 2.5 GT. I was driving down the road when it cut off. I towed it home and suspected it was a timing issue. I pulled the timing belt covers and found that the belt didn't break which made me sigh in relief. However it feels like the tensioner may have failed because the belt seems loose. Now I fear that the belt jumped causing the timing to be off and won't start. My question is did I damage the valves and need a new engine? or can I replace the belt and tensioner and get a few more miles out of it. Thanks for the help CPL
