1991 Loyale CHECK ENGINE light

J

John Galt

Hello,
I have a 1990 loyale with about 165,000 miles on it. The other
day the check engine light came on, and has stayed on ever since. The
oil pressure is good, and the temperature is good. Can anyone tell me
what else could cause this light to go on?

thanks,
Flank

See the lists here:

There are several thousand things that can set a code. Without a code reader
you could spend a lot of time and money guessing at which one set the light.
At 165,000 miles could be oxygen sensors, catalytic converter, or loose gas
cap. Too many to guess at.

Blair,
The page you suggested is for a Legacy, not a Loyale. Is the
wiring compatible?

thanks
